B.Env.D., M.Arch., MAA, MRAIC
Kristin Szuminsky is a registered Architect, having recently completed the Internship in Architecture Program. Kristin’s early design experience began in the field of Landscape Architecture, where she was involved in a wide variety of projects varying from parks and educational facilities to community revitalization studies. Over time, Kristin developed an interest in civic architecture, ultimately inspiring her to return to the University of Manitoba to pursue a Master’s degree in Architecture.
Following the completion of her Master’s degree, Kristin returned to the practice of architecture, primarily working on education projects that ranged from daycare and elementary schools to post-secondary/ college facilities. Her involvement in these projects included community and school division consultation, day lighting strategies, space programming, and intentional community involvement strategies through interior elements.
Kristin made the move to MMP Architects in 2014 in order to expand on her interest in healthcare projects and continue her interest in how educational project services can contribute to and draw from the communities they serve. She has recently been involved in a number of post secondary projects at MMP, and has also taken on the Contract Administrator role for a wide variety of projects that are currently under construction.
